Channel Islands

The Channel Islands were the only piece of British Isles territory Germany ever managed to occupy during the Second World War.

Over 25,000 people had been evacuated to Britain, including most children, but 41,101 remained on Jersey, 24,429 on Guernsey, and 470 on Sark.

Campaign for a Universal Memorial for all the Occupation Victims. 

​

We are a Campaign for Universal Remembrance.

Campaign being started by Jersey Occupation family in 2018. Campaign has had eight written Questions at Westminster parliament alone. Over 6,000 Petition.

Joe Mière

Joe Mière, the former curator of the German War Tunnels in Jersey.

Joe Mière’s determined efforts to record the suffering of his fellow Islanders during the Occupation.

​

We have established his website again, as our own Campaign Website today. 

Joe Miere, one of Jersey's foremost World War II historians, has died after a long battle with cancer.

He was imprisoned three times by the Germans from 1940 to 1945.

We continue his Remembrance Legacy.
